Information on currency conversion in the case of card transactions in the territory of the European Union

We would like to inform you that, in accordance with the new regulation issued by the European Union, regarding transactions made through bank cards in the EU, starting from April 19, 2021, every time you use your card issued by Credit Europe Bank for transactions at POS, online or at cash withdrawals from ATMs in the European Union, in a currency other than the one in which the account attached to the card is opened, you will receive SMS notifications on the total costs of currency conversion as a percentage addition to the most recent available reference euro exchange rates, issued by the European Central Bank (ECB).

Regardless of whether you pay in euros or in another national currency of a Member State of the European Union, other than the currency of the account attached to your card issued by Credit Europe Bank, after the transaction, we will notify you by SMS about the total conversion costs indicative foreign exchange, related to the respective transaction.

The costs will be expressed as a percentage by relating them to the most recent reference foreign exchange rate available, issued by the European Central Bank.
