Credit Europe Bank Romania recorded a net profit of 70 million lei in 2021

The net profit of 70 million lei registered by Credit Europe Bank Romania in 2021 comes mainly as a result of the increase in credit cards turnover, but also of the decrease in the operational expenses.

Between January and December 2021, the bank's assets reached 4.3 billion lei, up from 2020, while the loan portfolio reached 2 billion lei and deposits attracted by the bank increased to 2.5 billion lei. The bank's total revenue for 2021 was 214 million lei, registering a slight increase of 2.8% compared to the same period of 2020. On the other hand, operational expenses decreased by 39.6%, reaching 137 million lei at the end of 2021.

The bank's results have shown a steady and stable growth in recent years due to services and main products, Credit Europe Bank Romania thus consolidating several business directions: credit cards - CardAvantaj being the first shopping card on the domestic market -, deposits and corporate loans. Credit card turnover increased by 9.7% in 2021 compared to 2020, and sales through the Bank's POS also increased by 9%.

The goals outlined for 2021 have resulted in very good results of the year, and we have continued to provide improved financial products and services as part of our strategic direction to continuously invest in optimizing and digitalizing our customers' experiences. Digital adoption among the bank's customers is growing steadily due to both the AVANTAJ2go mobile application and the contactless payment methods Apple Pay, Google Pay, gadgets - sticker + bracelet - AVANTAJ2go and OPTIMO2go and the improved Internet Banking platform ", said Yakup Çil, CEO of Credit Europe Bank Romania.
