Services offered

The transfers are done in just few minutes, without any account opening requested and the money is available anywhere in the world.

1. Inbound - Transfers received

On the basis of this service, the units of Credit Europe Bank (Romania) S.A. in their quality of Western Union agencies will settle the addresses (beneficiaries) in Romania, resident/non-resident individual entities, the amounts in USD, EURO, RON that were sent to them from abroad through the Western Unions system and confirmed by the Western Union Center USA to the bank's units for payment.

The Western Union agent abroad instructs the sender after initiating the transfer to inform the receiver that the transfer is available to payment and to communicate him/her the transfer control number (MTCN).

The receiver of a transfer initiated from abroad is to present himself/herself at the Western Union agency, respectively at the bank's unit and will inform the Western Union operator of the money amount expected.

2. Outbound - Transfers initiated

On the basis of this service, the Western union agencies / units of Credit Europe Bank (Romania) S.A. will accept and carry out the transfer of an amount in USD, EURO, RON ordered by resident or non-resident individual entities in Romania having as addresses:

  • individual entities abroad;
  • individual entities in Romania (internal transfers)

by strictly observing the regulations of NBR and Credit Europe Bank (Romania) S.A. in force related to carrying out the foreign currency operations.

Upon requesting the transfers, the senders - resident individual entities will justify the payment on the basis of documents.

On the basis of the justifying documents, the following transfers in the category of current foreign operations are allowed, in conformity with the regulations in force on carrying out the foreign currency operations:

current expenses for supporting the family members (husband, wife, children, persons in maintenance);

  • school taxes;
  • participations fees for seminars, conferences, international congresses;
  • taxes for work visas, temporary or definitive staying;
  • tourism expenses;
  • medical expenses;
  • other current expenses related to the above.

The non-resident individual entities may transfer without restriction up to the limit of 10,000 USD/person/transfer/day the own foreign currency available amounts.

3. Quick pay

It represents a service rendered by the Western Union agencies of Credit Europe Bank (Romania) S.A. implying the initiation from Romania of transfers in foreign currency (USD) by a resident or non-resident individual entity and their settlements by Western Union to a commercial company registered in the Western Union database.

The transfers must be according to the current foreign currency operations in conformity with the regulations of NBR and Credit Europe Bank (Romania) S.A. in force.

The service addresses to the customers-principals in Romania, resident and non-resident individual entities, by proving the purpose of the transfer on the basis of justifying documents, such as:

  • invoices, orders, external contracts
  • forms, questionnaires
  • other documents from which to result the purpose of transfer.

Western Union is to inform the receiver abroad, and the funds are transferred directly in the receiver's account by Western Union.
