Card activation

To eliminate any possibility of fraudulent transactions for payments with the card on the Internet, all cards issued by Credit Europe Bank are initially blocked for on-line transactions. In order to make on-line payments, the cardholder must activate this service by calling CEBLine at: 0801.000.000 (available number only through Romtelecom fix phones) or 0750.000.000 (available number in any network). This service is available non-stop and the phone calls have standard cost.

Security for on-line transactions

The on-line payment system developed by Credit Europe Bank for the cardholders means performing on-line payments through card in a secure environment.
All CardAvantaj merchant partners who accept on-line payments on their own websites have implemented 3D Secure protocol (Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code). This safety measure consists of re-directing the user to a secure page, in the moment of the payment; his registration on this page will be made by receiving an authorization code for each on-line transaction. In this way it will be impossible for your information on the card to be taken by un-authorized persons when making a payment.

Transaction authorization

In order to authorize a transaction you must fill in the fields from the webpage with the information from your card.

• Card number (16 digits identification number, situated on the front part of the card, assigned by the bank to the cardholder in order to identify him when using the card);
• Expiry date (date on which the card becomes inactive in order to be replaced. The date appears on the front of the card, under the card number, in format of month/year);
• CVV2 / CVC2 code (last three characters inclined to the left from the stamped code on the back of the card, in the front part of the signature panel. All debit / credit cards issued under MasterCard logo have CVC2 code and the ones issued under Visa logo have CVV2. Not all Visa / Maestro cards have this code.

• With each shopping you make you receive a bigger bonus. Credit Europe Bank offers you a bonus of 0,3% from the value of each transaction, even if it is an on-line transaction, if you made the payment through CardAvantaj;
• You don't have to waste the time running from one shopping center to another. It is enough to open your computer and visit the virtual shops;
• Your money is safe. All on-line transactions within CardAvantaj network of partner shops are done in a secure environment.

ATTENTION

There are a few things you should know about on-line transactions, in order to avoid fraudulent attempts:

• The bank never requires in any way confidential information through e-mail (password, card number, PIN);
• The password, PIN code shall not be revealed under any reason. Do not answer to any attempt of revealing your password or PIN code;
• The card must not be handed away in any circumstance. Do not let anyone copy the number of your card or the CVC2 / CVV2 code (the last thee digits on the back of your card). Anyone can use your card in a fraudulent manner for payments on the Internet if they know your card number, CVV2 or CVC2 code and the expiry date.
