Finansbank (Romania) SA has successfully closed the year 2005, with improved financial performance and broader branch network.
Total assets of the Bank have increased with 74% at the end of December 2005 as compared to December 2004, reaching EUR 341 million (RON 1.25 billion). The high performance has been supported by the increase of equity to RON 110 million (EUR 30 million) from RON 73.4 million (EUR 18.5 million) recording a 62% raise and by the growth of customer deposits to RON 743 million (EUR 202 million) from RON 544 million (EUR 137 million) during year 2005. The loan portfolio of the bank reached (EUR 225 millions) up with 97% from (EUR 114 million) in 2004.
A new syndicated loan facility of EUR 55 million for pre-export financing needs of our customers has been successfully oversubscribed in October 2005. Although the bank has intensively invested in developing the service network, human resources, plastic cards and IT infrastructure necessary to support the growth, the net profit for the year 2005 registered RON 15.5 million (EUR 4.2 million), up from EUR 2.0 million at the end of year 2004.
With a branch network of 40 locations at the end of 2005, Finansbank (Romania) reached its target of 1% share in the local banking system, with 5% market share in consumer credits and 7% market share in credit cards. Territorial expansion strategy will be continued in 2006 as well, in order to reach 80 working locations by the end of the year.
Finansbank (Romania) S.A.'s main challenge -to strengthen its brand awareness- will be continuously targeted through enlarging customer base, creating tailored products and services, expanding branch network and offering higher standard of customer service.
