How can I obtain a card issued by Credit Europe Bank?
Very easy!
  • Come to any Credit Europe Bank branch.
  • Apply on-line on www.cardavantaj.ro at "Apply now" section.
  • Call CEBLine on 0801.000.000 (from Romtelecom fix network) or 0750.000.000 (from any network) and request a card issued by Credit Europe Bank. A representative of Direct Sales team shall contact you to set a meeting and advise you in order to obtain a card.
Which are the eligible incomes?
Any person with incomes can apply for a card issued by Credit Europe Bank. By accepted incomes we refer to: incomes from salaries, rents, liberal professions, pensions, cession contracts for author rights, mandate contract, agent contracts and many others. Also, you can benefit of a credit card by making a deposit which will guarantee the credit limit granted. Where can I buy with installments payment?
You can enjoy shopping with installments payment in the network of partner shops of Credit Europe Bank. In this way you can make transactions in shops from all areas: fashion, tourism agencies, insurance, furniture, beauty salons, electronics/ IT&C, decorations, health, supermarkets, gas stations etc. Consult the permanently updated list Credit Europe Bank partner shops on www.cardavantaj.ro where you can also find information about all cards offered and about the campaigns in progress.
What is the bonus and how can it be used?
For each transaction made at shops from Romania or abroad which have Visa or MasterCard logo, in the network of partner shops or outside this network, 0.3% of each transaction's value is found on the bonus account of your card, separately from the credit limit. The bonus can be used for a new transaction in any partner shop of Credit Europe Bank. All you have to do is to say that you want to pay with the bonus account when you pay with the credit card. Moreover, you will receive a bonus even for transactions made from the bonus account. In this way, for any type of commercial transaction made in Romania or abroad, you will be repaid for using CardAvantaj for payments. You will never return the value of the bonus, because it is our gift for using CardAvantaj. The bonus can not be withdrawn in cash from ATMs and it can not be used to pay for the used credit; its value is presented in each account statement monthly issued.
What is the interest paid for the used credit limit?
  • 0% interest for purchases with installment payment if you pay in full the due rate within the grace period of up to 45 days.
  • 0% interest for transactions made at any shop with Visa or MasterCard logo (outside the installment system) if you refund in full, within the grace period, the amount used.
  • 2,33% interest/month for cash withdrawals from any ATM, interest calculated from the day of transaction.
  • 2,33% interest/month for retail transactions in the installments system at partner merchants as well as at merchants outside the installment system, interest calculated after the end of the grace period.
When can I pay?
You can choose your own date of issuing the account statement so that the due date of the monthly minimum amount to be paid should not catch you off guard. According to the payment date of your salary you can choose your CardAvantaj credit card account statement to be issued on the 7th, 20th or the last day of the month. The last day in which you can the minimum amount to be paid will be in 15 days since the account statement issuing. If the due day is a not working day than the payment must be made in the previous working day.
Once the account statement is issued, Credit Europe bank will send an SMS with the minimum amount to be paid.
The credit limit granted through card is revolving, meaning that the reimbursed amounts will be found again on the card account starting from the second day in order to be used again.
How can I receive information about transactions and amounts payable?
  • Monthly account statement - in it are presented all transactions made during the month covered by the statement as well as the amount payable;
  • Copy of the monthly account statement - come to any Credit Europe Bank branch and you can request a copy of the monthly account statement;
  • mini ATM statement- at any Credit Europe Bank ATM you can request a mini statement; it presents the last 10 made transactions;
  • CEBLine: 0801.000.000 (from Romtelecom fix network) or 0750.000.000 (from any network) - a bank representative will offer details regarding made transactions of amounts payable.
Which are the necessary conditions and documents for credit limit increase/ decrease?
To modify the credit limit you must download and complete Form for credit limit increase/decrease. Also, you must complete a new issue request and an income statement which you can download from the site. After you complete it, you must go to any CEB branch and give it to a bank representative. The request for a credit limit increase will be completed if the card was activated 3 months before and its holder made at least one financial transaction.
How can I make Internet transactions?
If you want to use your card on the Internet, you must download and complete the Restrictions lift for Internet Transactions Form, with which you must go to any Credit Europe Bank branch and give it to a bank representative.
How can I modify my contact data and the address where I receive the account statement?
To modify contact data and the address where you receive the account statement you must download and complete the Modification of card holder's contact data Form, with which you must go to any Credit Europe Bank branch and give it to a bank representative.
What do I do if the card was lost, stolen or blocked?
In case of card loss, steal, deterioration or blockage, of registration in the card holder's account of unauthorized transactions, of an error or irregularity appeared after the account was administrated by the Bank, of suspicions regarding card copy or PIN /password knowledge by other unauthorized persons or in case of a card malfunction, call immediately Client Service on 0750.000.000 or 0801.000.000 to inform about one of the above mentioned situations. After blocking the card, you will be obliged to notify in writing the Bank. To notify the Bank, you can download and complete Card loss, theft, deterioration, blockage Form with which you must go to any Credit Europe Bank branch and give it to a bank representative.
How can I renew my card if it was deteriorated, lost/stolen or if I want to replace it earlier?
All you must do to receive your salary directly on the card issued by Credit Europe Bank is to provide your employer with the IBAN code of your card, as well as the branch where the card account is opened.

To benefit from the limit increase, you must download the Additional act for limit increase, to complete it in 2 copies and to come with it at one of Credit Europe Bank branches.
